With nearly 20 years of experience, we help build confidence as well as industry skills and can prepare you for an exciting role in a sector that’s worth £149 billion to the UK economy and employs over 1.5 million people … You could be one of them.

Who is eligible?

The Skills Bootcamps are for adults 19+ either in work, looking for work or returning to the workforce within 12 months of leaving. You need to be a resident in Devon or Cornwall. We have made the courses as inclusive as possible in order to increase diversity

When does it start?

The next bootcamps start in November 2023. Exact start dates vary on the number of people on each course. Fill out the form below and we will let you know exact dates.

How much time will it take to study?

The time commitment for the Cyber Bootcamp is a eight week course, divided into
weekly 2 hours tutor led sessions;

1 x 2-hour session every Monday

1 x 2-hour session every Wednesday

1 x 2-hour session every Friday

The time commitment for the IT Bootcamp is a seven week course divided into 3 hours weekly tutor led sessions;

1 x 3-hour session every Monday

1 x 3-hour session every Wednesday

1 x 3-hour session every Friday

This means if you are employed you can still use this course to upskill whilst working.

What does the application process involve?

Once registered, we will ask you to complete an initial assessment to understand your skill level and put you forwards for an interview. Successfully interviewed trainees will be invited to join our induction day for our virtual IT Readiness or Cyber Readiness Skills Bootcamp.

What does it cost?

Expand

For those who aren’t employed it is free. For those that are employed there is a minimum employee contribution of 10% (£290.00). Most employers are happy for their staff to attend a course as part of upskilling in their role.

The delivery will be funded to ensure candidates access the full breadth of retraining they need to perform in their work placement.

What attendance is required?

You will be expected to attend each aspect of our training bootcamp to ensure you gain the skills you need to be successful for an interview and work placement.

Is this a remote online course?

Expand

All Skill Bootcamps will be delivered online. Using a selection of CompTIA, CertNexus and BCS international training to compliment all Skills Bootcamp courses along with industry designed personal training.

What is the difference between IT and Cyber Bootcamps?

Expand

IT Skills bootcamp covers all aspects of IT you will need at work. The Cyber Skills bootcamp gives you a comprehensive understanding of cyber security principles.

Will I get a job?

There is a guaranteed interview upon completion of the course. The aim of the programme is to get all successful trainees through the bootcamp and find them a workplace to lead onto employment in the region or as a remote worker to increase the opportunities available within six months of completing.
